According to the publisher, in this brand new collection, Garramone, acclaimed host of "Breaking Bread With Father Dominic" on KETC-TV Channel 9 in St. Louis, weaves together holiday reflections, scripture and nearly two dozen recipes. Holiday preparations take on new meaning with wisdom and stories. Father Dominic's skills as a baker, teacher and storyteller take the reader beyond bread.

A Benedictine monk of St. Bede Abbey in Peru, Ill., and host of his highly successful public television series, Garramone has introduced millions of viewers to the joys of baking and sharing bread. Although clearly a baker of considerable talent, his casual, humorous demeanor demystifies the art of bread baking. He often says: "Remember, it's bread. It's going to forgive you."
