Fontbonne University OPTIONS Expands into Corporate Communication
First Undergraduate Group Projected To Begin January 22, 2008

A new degree, the B.A. in Corporate Communication (BCC), will be offered by Fontbonne University OPTIONS in January 2008. The 16-month, multi-disciplinary program combines business with a wide variety of communication courses for a challenging and practical curriculum.
“The OPTIONS BCC is perfect for adults interested in becoming communications professionals or simply more effective communicators,” says Jerry Bladdick, Fontbonne’s Associate VP for Graduate and Adult Enrollment. “This new degree will provide knowledge and skills expected of today’s capable managers and leaders.”
Writing, presentation and interpersonal skills will be emphasized throughout the curriculum, which is designed to develop skilled communicators who are highly essential to workplace success. Employers continually seek out these “softer” qualities in job applicants and many times find them lacking.
The BCC is the most recent bachelor degree program developed by Fontbonne OPTIONS, which is known for its commitment to adult-friendly education and more recently, niche degrees like Sports & Entertainment Management and Contemporary Studies.
Says Bladdick, “We are charged with educating young people and adults. Education just isn’t a one-size-fits-all prospect. We’re constantly adapting to meet the needs that arise.”
