Fontbonne Recognizes Excellence in Teaching

SAINT LOUIS – Fontbonne University recently honored three faculty members for excellence in teaching.

Suzanne Stoelting is an assistant professor of applied sociology and received the Joan Goostree Stevens Excellence in Teaching Award, which recognizes the outstanding teachers who contribute to Fontbonne's learning environment. Each year, a committee of representatives from the student body, faculty and administration select the nominee who is most deserving of the university’s highest teaching recognition.

Belinda Farrington is a part-time instructor with the university’s OPTIONS program and received the Excellence in Teaching Award for Part-Time Faculty.

Deanna Jent is an assistant professor of performing arts and was named the 2010 Scholar/Artist, an award designed to give Fontbonne faculty and staff the opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of their peers.
