Marlo Thomas Tells the Story of Funny at November Book Club Event

 
ST. LOUIS – The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club will host Marlo Thomas, actress, comedienne and author of “Growing Up Laughing: My Story and the Story of Funny,” at its November book club event. The event will take place Thursday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. at the St. Louis County Library, 1640 S. Lindbergh.

Thomas portrayed Ann Marie on the ABC sitcom “That Girl” beginning in 1966. She is the winner of four Emmys, a Golden Globe, a Grammy and a Peabody, and she is an inductee into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame. In addition to numerous other activities, Thomas serves as the national outreach director for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
