Fontbonne/KMOX Book Club Discusses Healthcare Reform with Dr. James Brasfield

 

ST. LOUIS - The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club welcomes James Brasfield, author of “Health Policy: The Decade Ahead,” at its next book club event. The event will take place Tuesday, August 21, 10 -11 a.m. at the offices of East-West Gateway Council of Governments, One Memorial Drive in Downtown St. Louis. Charlie Brennan will give the attendees a tour of the station following the event. It’s one of the last opportunities to see KMOX before they move to the Park Pacific Building this fall.

Dr. James Brasfield is an expert on health management and policy and holds a Ph.D. in political science. He currently serves as president of the Board of the Greater St. Louis Health Systems Agency and as book review editor for the “Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law.” In “Health Policy: The Decade Ahead” Brasfield explores the issues that confront the U.S. today in a way that both novices and experts can appreciate. “Health Policy” addresses Medicare and Medicaid reform, the Affordable Care Act, challenges posed by the aging U.S. population and more.
