Alumna Named Junior Achievement Teacher of the Year


Congratulations to Fontbonne University alumna Martha (Willis) Graham ’73 who was named Teacher of the Year by Junior Achievement of Middle America at their annual meeting June 27. Graham is a sixth-grade teacher at Benjamin Banneker Elementary School in Kansas City, Mo.

Graham was recognized for incorporating guest speakers and the Junior Achievement curriculum into her classroom. The curriculum offers lessons on entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy for students in grades K-12.

According to a statement from Junior Achievement, Graham "has been instrumental in the partnership at Banneker Elementary," and was successful in preparing her students for the JA lessons, as well as their future lessons.
