Love is the Word
Fontbonne students, staff and faculty celebrated the Feast of St. Valentine by creating special Valentines for their loved ones using all types loving words. Congratulations to our gift card winner, Catalina Manzur.
National Day on Writing
Fontbonne students celebrated National Day on Writing by partcipating in various writing activities in the Jack C. Taylor Library lobby on Monday, October 21. Students expressed themselves by writing a 6-word story, describing themselves through the letters of their name, or creating word art.
Pi Day Pie Baking Contest
Thursday, March 14 (3.14)
The results are in and Vicki Logston, HES administrative Assistant, won the Pie Baking Contest with a strawberry pie that earned an amazing 58 out of a possible 60 points! Vicki earned a ‘Pi Day mug’, and a gift card to Pi Pizza Restaurant.
Claire Sheehan won the Pi memorization contest for the students by knowing an amazing 115 digits of pi and won a gift certificate to the Fontbonne Bookstore. Dr. Theresa Jeevanjee won the Pi memorization contest open to faculty and staff by knowing 75 digits of pi. Dr. Jeevanjee donated her prize, a Q.T. gift certificate, to Elizabeth Brennan, the student who came in second place.
We would like to thank our Pie judges: Mary Asaro, Mark Alexander, Somer Anderson, Mark Franz, Shelby Marsh and Colton Woods for sacrificing their waistlines to sample the nine entered pies.
Pie slices were sold for a $1 donation which went to the ‘Little Bit Foundation’.

The Kinkel Center and the Library celebrated the Feast of St. Valentine by creating Valentine cards and mementos while enjoying Valentine treats!
The Kinkel Center staff will provided variously-colored paper, stickers, lacy doilies, and most importantly all types of loving words for you to create Valentines for the people you love just in time for Valentine's Day.
