Social Work students in the community

Carolyn Compton was elected by her statewide peers to hold a position as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Social Workers - Missouri Chapter. As stated by Tamitha Price, "Balancing employment, school and volunteer activities is a delicate endeavor...[we] are very proud of our volunteers and the agencies and universities that support their efforts..." Carolyn was also recently named as the new neighborhood advocate for the Central West End. See Carolyn's appearance on Fox 2 or read more online.


Alnita Smiley '14 recently appeared on KPLR 11 St. Louis and shared her personal story. Her field education placement was at the YMCA Sexual Assualt Center. After graduation, she was hired as a crisis intervention counselor.
