Human Development, Economy, and the Common Good:

Engaging Benedict XVI’S Charity in Truth

This symposium engaged the latest Catholic Social Thought document to be published by the Catholic Church. The aim was to provide a concrete opportunity for students and faculty to explore together the bearing that Catholic Social Teaching might have on their respective disciplines, majors, or other interests.

“The Profile of the Manager in Caritas in Veritate:

 

From Office Executive to Wise Steward”

 

Dr. Gregory Beabout (Philosophy Department, Saint Louis University) is the author of Freedom and Its Misuses: Kierkegaard on Anxiety and Despair and is currently completing a book entitled The Character of the Manager, a critical engagement with the philosopher Alasdair MacIntyre.
