Where am I?

First-Year Student Overnight

What better way to meet your new classmates, FOCUS Leaders, and faculty and staff than an Orientation overnight on Sunday, August 17. During this overnight you will have the opportunity to develop basic leadership skills, teambuilding, communication skills, and better understand what it means to be a college student at Fontbonne University.

We will be going to Lake Williamson in Carlinville, IL. (Transportation provided - buses leave at 1:00pm). Lake Williamson offers a variety of facilities; 24 hour recreation center with basketball, volleyball, racquetball, walleyball, and swimming available; an exciting way to build school spirit through a FOCUS group Field Day(which we will be doing on Monday, August 18 in the morning); hotel style rooms; and lots of outdoor space.

What do you need to bring with you?

  • Toiletries
  • Swimsuit & towel (if you want to go swimming) - swimming pool is inside
  • Bug Spray
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Closed toe shoes
  • Please do not bring any money - food will be provided

Since we will be hosting a Field Day activity please pay attention to the Clothing guidelines for Monday, August 18.

We will arrive back to Fontbonne's campus on Monday, August 18 at 4:30pm.  Students who go to the overnight will receive a FREE ticket to Six Flags for our Welcome Week outing on Saturday, August 23.
