This fall, in partnership with the Incarnate Word Foundation, Fontbonne University launched a five-day program for social service professionals involved in the identification, prevention and treatment of human/sex trafficking victims and survivors. Registration for the next session, scheduled to take place throughout March, is now open.
Thanks to funding from the Incarnate Word Foundation, the spring program will be offered at no cost to 30 participants from social service organizations throughout the St. Louis region. Additional participants can pay a fee of $750 to register. All participants will receive 30 hours of advanced skills training (including three hours of ethics and three hours of multiculturalism). Parking, all materials, continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack will be provided.

Michael Pressimone, Fontbonne president. “The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, our founders, and the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word have made it their mission to help those less fortunate, and we are proud to continue those healing traditions through academic initiatives such as this. Our long-term goal at Fontbonne is to establish a center dedicated to education, community development and prevention surrounding this critical issue.”
