Fontbonne University is launching a redesigned Master of Science in Computer Science.
The new program focuses on theoretical and practical application of computer science. Students are able to choose from one of three specializations: software engineering, cybersecurity and data science.
“This program is now targeted specifically for the most in-demand jobs in the market,” said Dr. Mary Abkemeier, chair of the mathematics and computer science department. “The job opportunities for professionals in the specialization fields is higher than ever. Our program is able to prepare more people than ever to be successful in the job market.”
The previous structure of the Fontbonne M.S. in Computer Science was intended for those who had a bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field. This new format is appropriate for professionals with a technology-related degree as well as those with no technology-related degree, but find themselves in a job that demands knowledge from one of the three specializations.
Classes begin in August. Contact the Office of Admission for more information at 314-889-1400.
