We strongly encourage new international students to live in On Campus Housing their first year in St. Louis and at Fontbonne University.

The first year is a critical time to become acclimated to your new environment and make a successful start in your courses and your academic career.

Space is limited on campus. To better your chances of receiving the housing assignment of your choice, submit your application paperwork as soon as possible.

All Residence Halls require a meal plan.

10 Reason Why You Should Live On Campus

  1. Better Grades – Students Who Live On Campus Have Better Grades!

    • Studies have shown that students living in On Campus Housing have better grades because they do not have to hassle with the extra stresses that off campus living requires

    • By living On Campus, students can focus on their studies and being involved in campus activities and leadership roles.
    • When a student is On Campus, he or she has more opportunity to be exposed and get to know people better, which can be critical when it is time to ask for letters of recommendations from faculty and staff

    • If you live off campus and do not have a car or easy access to public transportation, you will have to depend on others for rides to and from school and will sacrifice your independence and ability to get involved if your driver is busy.
