If you are arriving to Saint Louis in January, please know it is usually cold!
While Saint Louis has varied weather and the occasional mild winter, prepare yourself for cold temperatures and possible snow and ice.
In the Winter, temperature ranges average between 20°F (-6°C) and 40°F (4°C) but can fall much lower to at or below 0°F (-17°C) in extreme winters. It is important to dress appropriately for these temperatures.
Saint Louis has winters where no snow nor ice fall. However, there are also winters where every few weeks a good snowfall or icy precipitation occurs. Be prepared for anything by planning ahead and always paying attention to the local weather forecast.

Due to the extremes between outside and inside temperatures, it is recommended that you learn to dress in layers that you can remove inside or add when you go outside.
