The Fontbonne University Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics is currently granted accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Program Mission, Goals, and Objectives 

The mission of the Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics at Fontbonne University is to prepare graduates as competent entry-level registered dietitian nutritionists. Graduates use their knowledge and skills in food, nutrition, health promotion, and communication to enrich quality of life and advance the health of individuals, families, and communities. 

Program Goal #1:  Program graduates will be prepared as competent entry-level professionals in the areas of food, nutrition, and dietetics.  

Objectives:* 

1. 1.a. “At least 80% of students complete program requirements within 3.75 years
   (150% of planned program length)”.
   1.b. “At least 80% of students complete program requirements within 28.5
   months (150% of planned program length)”.
2. “At least 80 percent of program graduates take the CDR credentialing exam
   for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion”.
3. “The program’s one–year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration
   exam within one year of first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for
   dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%”.
4. Of the employers who respond to the survey, at least 80 percent will report
   that program graduates are at least adequately prepared for their position.
5. Of the graduates who respond to the follow-up surveys within 12 months of graduation at least 80% will
   respond with a “4” or “5” to the question that asks them how much they agree that, due to their
   education and experience in the coordinated program, they have used their skills to enrich quality of
   life and advance the health of individuals, families, and/or communities.

 Program Goal #2: Program graduates will achieve their career goals in food, nutrition, and dietetics.
