Curious about what it’s like to join Fontbonne as an international student? Hear from some of our wonderful students from all around the world to find out!
My favorite thing about being a student at Fontbonne is how easy it is to get involved if you look for opportunities. As an international student, I had to adapt to a lot of things. However, I easily made new friends and met many people willing to help me in this transition. Fontbonne students are very active. Being a Student Ambassador and part of the FISA (Fontbonne International Students Alliance) executive board allowed me to get involved in planning events, workshops, and several other activities that have helped me grow as a student and a future professional.
Fontbonne really became my home away from home. Everyone I met on campus from the staff to the students was welcoming, and even though the education system was different from what I was used to, the professors were always quick to offer assistance. Since I was following kosher, the cafeteria used to make a meal just for me, which always made me feel so special.
I received a warm welcome as an international student at Fontbonne, and I will always think of it as my second home. The staff were so helpful, and we had a great time together. The instructors were very supportive and devoted their attention to each individual student. I was also able to gain hands-on experience with academic projects that have been helpful in my current career as a software developer. Beyond those professional skills, I also grew as a leader throughout the activities I was able to participate in on campus.
Culture, color, cuisine, art, dance, music — Fontbonne University celebrates international students from 22 different countries during the school’s annual International Bazaar.
