Fontbonne academic advisors and students regularly utilize various campus technology platforms to establish and maintain open communication, obtain and share information, and to check and monitor a student’s academic progress. Students are particularly encouraged to register and monitor their Fontbonne email frequently. Student log on instructions are available to assist with logging on and using these platforms.
Fontbonne Email– Fontbonne email serves as the primary email source between students and all university officials including academic advisors. Students can have external email accounts forwarded to their Fontbonne account if they so choose. New students typically receive Fontbonne email login information during Griffin101 orientation or through the Office of Admission.
GriffinNet– Both advisors and students can access this internal portal for various needs and information. Students can access their course schedules, academic transcripts, tax forms, financial aid, final grades, billing, and housing information through GriffinNet. GriffinNet is also the portal students used to officially complete their web registration. New students typically receive GriffinNet login information during SOAR: Summer Orientation or through the Office of Admission.
Canvas– This Learning Management System (LMS) is most often utilized by students and their professors and usually linked to particular courses in which the student is registered. Again, this login information is given to new students upon entering the university.
Text Message Alerts- Fontbonne provides a text message alert service to all students, faculty and staff. In the event of an emergency, or other situation where it’s important to reach the campus community — such as a weather closure — the school will issue a text message alert explaining the situation. Students are encouraged to register.
