Responding to Trauma in the Classroom
The focus of the symposium will be on trauma sensitive practices. Breakout sessions, after the keynote address, will include presentations from partners with expertise on trauma-based resources.
The symposium is being offered to Fontbonne’s partner districts and programs at no cost. Professional development certificates will be provided to all attendees.

Be the Lighthouse: Mindfully Guiding Students through the Storm
By Dr. Gregory Hungerford
Dr. Greg Hungerford has worked in the education profession since 1991 and has extensive experience as a special education teacher and administrator at all school levels. He currently serves as a social, emotional, and behavioral effective practice specialist for the Special School District of St. Louis County. Greg leads professional learning opportunities for staff around the topics of mindfulness, brain-based learning and behavioral interventions. He also provides site-based consultation and coaching to school teams supporting students facing trauma and mental health concerns.
