The exhibits scheduled throughout spring 2018 in the Fontbonne University Fine Arts Gallery will feature visiting artists, including a Fontbonne alumnus, as well as student work.
The Gallery will open in mid-January with a show featuring the work of Fred Nelson, a painter with roots in St. Louis who has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Nelson’s work is influenced by Buddhist philosophy and the criticism of Baudelaire. His “Apsara Series” explores the apsara, female spirits of the clouds and water in Hindu and Buddhist culture.
