The Fontbonne University department of fine arts will host “Now and Then,” a concert to highlight and celebrate music on campus.
“Now and Then” will feature performances by Fontbonne’s new jazz ensemble and choir. There will be guest performances from alumni and faculty, including Fontbonne President Dr. J. Michael Pressimone.
The concert will take place on Saturday, April 7 with a performance at 5 p.m. and reception at 6 p.m. Admission to the event is a suggested donation of $10 upon arrival. Reservations are encouraged via http://www.mustardseedtheatre.com. Donations will be accepted throughout the evening to benefit the Fontbonne University fine arts department and its collaborative work with the new music programming.
Fontbonne has been without an official music program since 1994. Since then, the only music on campus has been the church choir and an occasional musical produced by the theatre department. In the fall of 2017, the music program was reintroduced, with plans of expansion over the next several years.
