From our founding in 1923, by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, as an affordable liberal arts education for women, the university has grown to offer more than seventy-five undergraduate degree programs, more than twenty graduate degree programs, and eleven graduate certificate programs to a co-educational student population of 1,900. Fontbonne’s ability to provide a postsecondary education to students who have traditionally lacked such opportunity is in part the result of collaboration with corporate and foundation partners who have supported our institution over the last 100 years.
As we look to the next hundred years, we know there is more yet to be done to continue our sustained growth and welcome new partners to join in a dedicated community of discovery, understanding, and preservation in service of the dear neighbor.
