The Fontbonne University Department of Fine Arts presents the Junior Synthesis Exhibition, a free exhibit curated by junior art majors. The exhibition features a blend of multiple materials and mediums, including graphite illustrations, ink drawings, paintings, graphic design and jewelry.
“The Junior Synthesis is the first time our juniors have the opportunity to show here at Fontbonne, and it serves as preparation for their senior year,” says Anthony Borchardt, assistant arts professor and director of the Gallery of Art. The Junior Synthesis is a course offered by Fontbonne that teaches students how to frame, matte and prepare all types of work for gallery representation.
This special exhibition will take place April 12-19, 2019, at the university’s Gallery of Art in the fine arts building. A free opening reception featuring the artists will take place on Friday, April 12.
