We recognize that the investment in a college education is a sacrifice for most students and families. We think you’ll find a Fontbonne education to be well worth the effort. Fontbonne’s tuition and fees and residence hall charges remain very competitive with other comparable private institutions in the region.

Academic Year 2024-2025

Tuition: $29,276 per academic year

Resource Fees: $700 per academic year (Fall and Spring – if taking Summer courses, students will see an additional $35/credit hour for resource fees)

Room and Board: $9,290- $13,614per academic year

 

Tuition Breakdown

 

Fall and Spring semesters

Part-time (1-11 credit hours/semester): $750/credit hour*

Full-time (12-18 credit hours/semester): $14,638/semester ($29,276/academic year)**

Anything over 18 hours adds an additional $750/credit hour

 

Summer term

All undergraduate students: $480/credit hour

Resource Fees: $35/credit hour (capped at $350/semester; $700/academic year for full-time for Fall and Spring – if taking Summer courses, students will see an additional $35/credit hour for resource fees))

 

*Students enrolled in 6–9 credit hours may be able to receive aid through FAFSA.

**Students enrolled in 12 credit hours or more are considered full-time and eligible for scholarship and need-based aid consideration.

*This rate is for students beginning the program with five or more paraprofessionals within their school district or special education cooperative. Additional discounts are not applicable to this model. This rate does not apply to students entering the program alone. The standard $775/credit hour would still apply to individual students not entering as a group.

Per year tuition cost ($29,276) x number of years to complete program (4) = $117,104 / total number of semester hours to complete program (120) = cost per hour ($975.87).

It is important to note that not all students will complete their degree in the above outlined 4 years/120 credit hour breakdown.

Veterans Information

Section 1018 of Public Law 116-315, Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020

 

Section 1018 of Public Law 116-315, Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020 requires that educational institutions participating in the educational assistance programs of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provide students with certain financial information and other requirements.

Section 1:

Schools must provide a covered individual (a student using benefits under chapter 30, 31, 32, 33, or 35 of title 38, U.S.C., or chapter 1606 of title 10, U.S.C.) with a college financing plan that includes:

– Estimated total cost of the course that includes tuition, fees, books, supplies and any other additional costs.

– Estimated cost of living expenses.

– Amount of costs above that are covered by VA Education Benefits.

– Other types of Federal financial aid, not administered by VA that is offered by the institution, that the individual may be qualified to receive.

– Estimated amount of student loan debt the individual would have upon graduation.

– Information regarding graduation rates.

– Information regarding job-placement rates for graduates, if available.

– Information regarding the acceptance of transfer credits including military credits.

– Any additional requirements including training, experience, or examinations that are required to obtain a license, certification, or approval for which the course of education prepares the individual.

– Other information to facilitate comparison by the individual about aid packages offered by different educational institutions.

**** Estimated totals are for full-time enrollment. 12-18 hours per semester for undergraduate students and 6 hours per semester for both graduate and doctoral. These totals include tuition, resource fees, and book costs as all other charges are situational. Per year, a full-time undergraduate student could see an estimated cost of $30,976.  Graduate students, per year, could see an estimated cost of $9,520 and Doctoral could see an estimated cost of $11,620.  This amount is subject to change as tuition are subject to annual increases.  Yearly housing costs are depending on the individual student’s room and board preference.
