I teach general biology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, and senior seminar. For my Ph.D. work, I characterized a gene expressed during fruit fly (Drosophila) development. Before coming to Fontbonne, I was involved with research projects in mice to elucidate the role of glypicans (membrane-linked proteoglycans) in development. Current research interest is to use zebrafish as a genetic tool to further study these molecules.
