This statement is at the core of how we nurture spiritual life at Fontbonne. It is our hope that you will find a place to be in relationship with God, others and yourself. Guided by the Catholic Church and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, FBU ministry welcomes and serves students of all religious backgrounds and traditions without distinction to grow spiritually.
We are here to listen to your story and share in your spiritual journey during your time at Fontbonne. We provide opportunities for you to share your faith, develop spiritual practices, worship, participate in community and integrate your faith in everyday life.
God loves you and wants you to become the best version of yourself while making a difference in the world.
Service and Spirituality offers a variety of spiritual programs to help nurture the faith community at Fontbonne University. It’s important to pray, gather in fellowship, learn about one’s faith, explore other faith traditions and have companions for one’s journey in faith.
The key is to continue learning so that a person can evolve as a spiritual being, and a child of God, in a way that transforms themselves and the world around them.
Making time in one’s day for worship and prayer is a vital piece of spiritual development. Service and Spirituality encourages each person to actively involve themselves with a worship community, whether on or off campus.
As a Catholic Institution sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Fontbonne is fundamentally committed to empowering the faith and spiritual development of all students. In the spirit of the Sisters, in love and unity, we hope to foster an environment in which religious freedom and ecumenical and interfaith relationships can flourish – an environment in which the integrity of one’s faith is celebrated and supported.
College is a time for growth and learning. Make spiritual growth a part of your time at Fontbonne!
