As part of the application process, you will be required to certify that you have sufficient financial resources by submitting an Affidavit of Support and Financial Statement.
This includes nine months or 12 months at Fontbonne University, exclusive of travel expenses for F1 students. These fees are based on on-campus living; off-campus accommodations may be more expensive.
Dependents: if you have a dependent that will be included on the I-20, please add $8000 per dependent. Spouses of F-1 visa holders are not permitted to work under any circumstances.
The affidavit of financial support is a part of the I-20 and DS-2019 requirements and cannot be issued until the form is on file.
The affidavit of financial support and proof of support must be dated no older than 6 months to the applied date. Any documents older than 6 months are not accepted.
United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations require documentation that sufficient financial resources are available to meet a student’s prospective educational and living expenses while in the United States.
Applicants are required to submit documentation that shows financial resources equal to or exceeding one year of expenses for the program of study they are interested in pursuing. The Form I-20 will not be issued until this information is provided.
