The Fontbonne University Alumni Board is recruiting new members. Candidates should have experience in leadership roles and embody the mission of the board to work with the Alumni Relations department in developing strategies and activities to further engage alumni and promote Fontbonne University.

Board members are expected to:

  • Attend bi-monthly meetings and events supported by the board throughout the year.
  • Serve on one sub-committee.
  • Serve terms of two years or more.

National Science Foundation grant funds STEM initiative at Fontbonne 

 
 
 

The National Science Foundation announced last week that it has awarded Fontbonne University a five-year grant in the amount of $625,318 starting in June. The grant will fund a new program geared to recruit and support low-income, academically talented students for the fields of computer sciencecyber security and bioinformatics.

Dr. Susan Lenihan wins international excellence award
 
 
 

Dr. Susan Lenihan, professor and director of Fontbonne’s deaf education program, was the recipient of the 2016 Antonia Branica Maxon Award for EHDI Excellence at the 15th Annual Early Hearing Detection Meeting in San Diego, Calif. Lenihan was one of ten international nominees.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Nine basketball players earn SLIAC All-Academic status

 
 
 
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the 2015-16 Winter All-Academic Team. This year, 65 student-athletes were recognized, including nine from Fontbonne University.

Join us Thursday, April 21, at the Highlands Golf and Tennis Center in Forest Park for the inaugural Fontbonne University Sport Symposium. A panel of sports industry experts will share their knowledge about the importance of a strong relationship between local sports teams and their community. Choir performs outdoors April 29

 
 
 

The Fonty Notes Choir is back in full song after Spring Break, learning and practicing popular musical arrangements through the decades to perform on Friday, April 29 in front of the Jack C. Taylor Library during lunch. All are welcome to come and take a trip through time with the Fonty Notes! And don’t forget, alumni are always invited to join us for Mass every Wednesday at 11: 45 a.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Doerr Chapel.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Junior Visit Day
 
 
 
Do you know a high school student interested in becoming a Griffin? If so, Junior Visit Day is the place to be on Friday, April 29. All prospective Griffins will get a chance to tour campus, meet faculty and students, learn about financial aid and scholarships, check out our academic and sports programs, and enjoy lunch on us.
